- Can the Sapphire Dust Activator be used daily?

The short answer is yes. We recommend using it every 2-3 days to begin with, and once the user has become familiar with the product they can choose to use more or less frequently.

- Is it safe to use the Illuminating Serum or Time Control Cream in the morning and evening?

Absolutely safe.

- Are the products suitable for those with sensitive skin?

Most people with sensitive skin find no problems using our products. However, we advise all users who are concerned about sensitivity to first test a small amount of product on a small area of skin beforehand. If the product feels good on the skin without causing any sensitivity, you’regood to go.

- Can the Activator be used on acne-prone skin?

The Activator can be beneficial for acne prone skin, by virtue of the gentle but deep exfoliation it provides, and it can help to optimise the skin so that there is less comedogenic debris that can cause acne and toxins that can trigger inflammation. Our Illuminating Serum and Time Control Cream can further help detoxify and hydrate the skin, and importantly help to repair and fortify the skin barrier, which is often damaged in acne.

However it is important to note that products like the Activator should not be used on areas of active acne (different from “acne-prone” skin), and in general the presence of any skin disease should always be assessed by a dermatologist or suitably qualified doctor, especially before commencing a new skin regimen.

- Is it safe to use the Activator alongside products that contain retinol or AHAs?

AHAs

The Activator exfoliates the skin gently but comprehensively with regular use,therefore we do not consider it necessary to use other exfoliating products such as AHAs (alphahydroxy acids) regularly alongside the Activator. Should you wish to have a deeper peel, we recommend that the Activator is not used for 7-10 daysafter the peel - in general follow your practitioner’s guidance and wait until the skinhas settled and there is no more redness or skin flaking.

Retinoids

Retinoids, such as retinol, retinaldehyde and retin A, can make skin more sensitive and even slightly inflamed (retinoid dermatitis), this is how they work and eventually repair the skin. Users of prescription grade retinoids are advised to consult with  
their doctor or dermatologist before using products like the Sapphire Dust Activator. 
If using a simpler off-the-shelf retinoid product, these are enerally milder formulas,
and gentle exfoliating products like the Skin Activator can be used alongside them. 
If using an off-the-shelf retinoid, we recommend starting by using the Skin Activator once a week, after which the user can vary frequency according to comfort. It is
also recommended to use the Activator and the retinoid on different days.

Remember, the skin needs rest too, so if you’re using a few different active products, always remember to give the skin a complete rest every 4-6 weeks.

- Are the products safe for pregnant or breastfeeding women?

Yes.

- Can the moisturiser be applied under makeup?

Yes - it is perfectly fine to apply the Time Control Cream under make-up.

- Why Sapphire? What difference does it make on the formulas?

In the SaphirRegen® activation complex: 

Sapphire is one of the Earth’s most precious gem stones and has physical characteristics that make it optimal for gentle, precise microexfoliation of the facial skin. It is a natural ingredient, microplastics free and sourced sustainably. Thanks to the expertise within our supply chain we can also be very precise about the particle size of our sapphire used in our formula (50-60 microns). Artificial sapphire can also be used in this complex.

In the Saphir-5-8® rejuvenation complex:

Here artificial sapphire is used on a much smaller, molecular level to stabilise the peptides in our formulas. Peptides are a broad range of molecules that can benefit the skin in many different ways. In the Saphir-5-8 complex the peptides we have include hexapeptide-8 (anti-wrinkle peptide) and glutathione (a powerful antioxidant). Making these peptides more stable in formula enhances their bioavailability, enabling them to benefit the skin more fully.

- Are the products vegan and cruelty-free?

No animal-derived products are used in our formulas, and there is no animal test or cruelty in any part of our supply chain as per EU and UK law.
